How Domain Transfers Work
Moving your domain to Motive Hosting is straightforward. The entire process typically completes within a few days, and your site stays live the whole time.
01Unlock Your Domain
Log into your current registrar and disable the domain transfer lock. This allows the domain to be moved to a new provider.
02Get Your EPP Code
Request the authorization code (also called an EPP or transfer code) from your current registrar. This proves domain ownership.
03Initiate the Transfer
Enter your domain name and EPP code in our dashboard. We handle the transfer request with your old registrar automatically.
04Confirm via Email
You will receive a confirmation email from the registry. Approve the transfer and your domain moves to Motive Hosting with zero downtime.
